Radial Outflow Turbine

 

 

The #ROT (Radial Outflow Turbine) configuration makes it possible to convert the energy contained in the organic fluid into mechanical power with higher efficiency than competing technologies on the market such as the traditional axial or radial inflow turbine. Radial means that the fluid is flowing in radialdirection that is either from inward to outward or from outward to inward. If the fluid is flowing from inward to outward then it is called "radial outflow turbine". In such turbines, the fluid enters at the center of the wheel and then flows outwards. In ROT the fluid expands in the turbine that is the fluid enlarges in the rotor.

Results Parameters:
Mass Flow - Outlet: 21.41 Kg/s
Static Temperature - Outlet: 374k

The working fluid of this turbine is R143a and rotor angular velocity is 7393 RPM.
